Clocks a time of 52.09 seconds in European Short Course Swimming Championships; Shai Livnat ends 200m freestyle final in seventh place.

Israel's swimmers capped off the European Short Course Swimming Championships with two more finals appearances in Debrecen, Hungary on Sunday.
Guy Barnea finished the 100 meter backstroke final in sixth position, clocking a time of 52.09 seconds, two hundredths of a second slower than his Israeli record. Russian Stanislav Donets won the gold medal in a time of 50.61s.
Shai Livnat ended the 200m freestyle final in seventh place, completing the distance in 1:46.53m.
However, Israel's swimmers still need success in the European Championships in the Netherlands next March to meet the criteria for next years Olympic Games.
