Andy Ram and Yoni Erlich got the better of their coach Noam Behr in the quarterfinals of the Israel Open doubles tournament at Ramat Hasharon on Wednesday.
Ram and Erlich defeated Behr and American Graydon Oliver 6-1, 6-3, strolling into the last four of the $50,000 Challenger event.
Also Wednesday, No. 1 seed in the singles tournament, Harel Levy (156 in the world), beat Alex Satschko 7-6, 7-5 to advance to the quarterfinals. Second seed Robert Smeets was, however, knocked out on Wednesday, losing to Alexander Slabinsky.
In Budapest, Tzipi Obziler lost 2-6, 1-6 to Karolina Sprem in the second round of the Tier III event.
