As the missiles were hidden within structures disguised as civilian buildings, Hezbollah’s way of operation is further showcased the IDF emphasized.

Sirens sounded in northern Israel as Hezbollah launched rockets and drones from Lebanon; the IDF responded by striking Hezbollah targets.

The IAF will stop any arms transfers from Iran to Hezbollah and is ready to assist troops in any ground operations.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the operation from onboard the Wing of Zion plane while en route to the US, the Prime Minister's Office stated.

Prior to the strike, numerous steps were taken to minimize the risk of harming civilians.

In the past few days, more than 150 fighter jets have participated in various missions, striking missile launchers and military infrastructure in southern Lebanon, the military noted.

Some 13 Palestinian civilians were allegedly killed in the strike, Palestinian news agency WAFA claimed, citing local reports. 

Security sources told Reuters that other members of Hezbollah's Radwan Force were killed when the Israeli strike hit a meeting they were attending.
