On two campuses, activists are asking their schools to split from organizations closer to home that they say are complicit in Israeli crimes.

The student said the increased attention on USC has made it difficult to focus on school, even as final exams are around the corner.
"If the university cannot be a place of learning, then what is the point? Universities across America must take action, and we are not asking asking for radical change," AJC President Deutch said.
"Now more than ever, the administration must make clear that antisemitism will not be tolerated at the University of Michigan," Hillel stated.
For far too long, the festering animosity towards Israel and, by extension, Jewish students, has gone largely unaddressed, been persistently overlooked, or simply ignored.

Known as Referendum 2, the measure would have pushed the university’s Alma Mater Society to “demand where feasible, that the University end Hillel BC’s lease."
