IDF medical aid delegation returns home from Japan
After treating 220 patients in 2 weeks, team leaves majority of medical equipment to be used by local doctors providing care in Minamisanriku.

The IDF medical aid delegation to Japan will be returning to Israel after providing care to residents of Minamisanriku over the past two weeks, the IDF Spokesperson reported on Monday.Physicians from the IDF Medical Crops treated 220 patients during the duration of their stay.RELATED:Japan deputy FM tours IDF clinic in battered village IDF doctor in Japan says rescue team needed, appreciated IDF medical delegation to Japan treats homeless baby IDF field hospital officially open doors to Japanese X-ray machinery, lab equipment and the majority of other medical equipment transported and used by the IDF team in Japan will remain in the country. The equipment will be used by doctors and other local authorities providing treatment to Minamisanriku and the surrounding area.The delegation was composed of Medical Corps specialists, search-and-rescue experts from the Home Front Command and logistics and communication personnel.The delegation is expected at the Nevatim Israel Air Force base on Tuesday morning.The delegation was thanked for its service in a ceremony held on Sunday night.
