Shalom: Israel nearing renewed peace talksVice Premier Silvan Shalom also said Thursday that Israel was nearing renewed peace talks with the Palestinians, and that time had come for Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to make the strategic decision to return to the negotiating table.
