In letter to Jordan, Khaled Mashaal accuses Israel of exploitation.

In a letter to the Jordanian government, Hamas official Khaled Mashaal reportedly denied firing the Grad rockets from Sinai into Eilat and Aqaba on Monday, and accussed Israel and Egypt of attempting to exploit the situation diplomatically and politically, reported London based Arab newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi.According to the report, Mashaal issued a "clarification letter" to the Jordanian government which accused Israel and Egypt of jointly trying to exploit the rocket attacks to justify a future Israeli military attack on the Gaza Strip.RELATED:'Egypt seeks rocket trucks'Hamas: No connection to Eilat-Aqaba rocket attackMashaal reportedly warned Jordan against allowing the Israeli and Egyptian governments from taking advantage of the situation, diplomatically and politically. The letter also stated that Hamas had no connection to the launching of the Grad rockets and does not intend to initiate a military or security operation in Jordanian territory, the newspaper said.The letter was delivered by mediators due to the official existing political tensions between Hamas and Jordan."We have nothing to do with the event 100 percent," Mashaal reportedly wrote in the letter.He was quoted as saying that Hamas is investigating the matter among other factions in order to find who launched the rockets, which apparently came from Sinai.
