Clashes in W. Bank and J'lem as Palestinians mark Nakba Day
IDF says Palestinians throwing stones in Kalandia, Hebron, Beitunia, soldiers using crowd dispersal methods, Palestinian new agency: several wounded; right wing activists reportedly attempt to enter Temple Mount.

Clashes broke out in and around Jerusalem and the West Bank on Wednesday as Palestinians marked Nakba Day, on which Palestinians annually lament the establishment of the Jewish state.According to an IDF spokeswoman, some 50 Palestinians were throwing stones in the area of the Kalandia checkpoint between Jerusalem and Ramallah. She said IDF soldiers were responding with crowd dispersal methods.The IDF also reported that there were some 130 Palestinians throwing stones in Beitunia, 30 in Kadum and the same number in Hebron. In all cases the IDF was using crowd dispersal methods, according to the spokeswoman.Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that several Palestinians were wounded, however, the IDF could not confirm this.The news agency additionally reported clashes between IDF soldiers and Palestinians at the eastern main entrance of the town of al-Ram, northeast of Jerusalem.Meanwhile, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported that clashes had broken out at the Temple Mount, where right-wing Israel activists had reportedly tried to enter the compound, leading to scuffles with Palestinians at the holy site.
