The IDF confirmed that two interconnected terror attacks were carried out near the Beit HaAravah Junction late Monday.
Palestinian sources said gunmen operate under the name of a group called Aqbat Jaber Camp Battalion, the first of its kind in the Jericho area.
The aim of the raid was to break up a Hamas terrorist cell in the West Bank refugee camp of Aqabat Jaber, Jericho.
The Aqabat Jaber battalion announced three "Days of Rage" in response to what they called a nine-day "siege" on Jericho by Israeli forces.
