Education Minister Naftali Bennett said that the government was sentenced to death the moment former Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman resigned and that elections might happen in May."My guess it that there will be elections in May," Bennett said on Wednesday. He added that "the government worked well, in my opinion, in many areas. But at the end of every good thing there needs to be elections."The 61-seat coalition (versus the 51-seat opposition) is struggling to advance laws in the short term and to survive in the longer term, Bennett said.Bennett also claimed that the "Gideon Saar Law" caused damage to the coalition."I think that this is a very correct thing to promote all the ideological laws,' he said. "What messed everything up is that the prime minister wants to promote the Sa'ar law. The government must pass laws that promote a right-wing agenda."
