COGAT closing Erez Crossing except for humanitarian emergencies

Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), Maj-Gen. Kamil Abu Rokun tweeted on Wednesday evening that the Erez Crossing is closing on Thursday.
COGAT wrote in Arabic that "due to acts that took place in the Erez Crossing on Tuesday" when hundreds of demonstrators rioted and destroyed infrastructure, the crossing will be closed on Thursday to all pedestrian and vehicle travel.
The crossing will only be operable for humanitarian purposes, writes COGAT.
