China calls on all sides to refrain from steps that could derail the situation in Syria, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying, in response to the IDF's attack late Sunday and early Monday on Iranian targets in Damascus.

"Finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis is at a key stage," Chunying said. "We believe that all parties should refrain from measures that will increase the tension."
