An explosion was reported by Palestinian media at the center of the Gaza Strip on Friday and IAF jets were reported flying overhead after two IDF soldiers were injured by sniper fire.
The two, a combat duty soldier and a female soldier, are currently treated at the Soroka Medical Center.
The IAF struck a Hamas post in the Gaza Strip and the IDF shelled Bureij refugee camp at the center of the Gaza strip in response to the sniper fire.
The attack took place during the Friday clashes along the Gaza Strip border Palestinians call 'March of Return.' According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health 40 Palestinians were wounded, including a female reporter shot by a rubber bullet in the head.
