Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein set a date for the Knesset to vote on a new State Comptroller, June 3.
MKs must submit names of candidates to the Knesset Secretariat, with the signatures of at least 10 MKs and written agreement from the candidate, by next Monday, May 20.
The comptroller election will likely be the first challenge for the new coalition.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to ask President Reuven Rivlin for an extension of the deadline to form a government, which will give him until May 29 to complete the task. Thus far, the Likud has not signed coalition agreements with any parties.
