Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a strong warning to Hamas regarding the continued rocket fire on southern Israel before departing from the United States to return to the Jewish state.
"We gave a very strong, very powerful response," he stated of the retaliatory attacks on Gaza following the destruction of a residential home in Kfar Saba on Monday. "Hamas needs to know that we will not hesitate to enter and take the necessary steps," he added.
The prime minister made the statements upon departing Washington DC where he was to address the AIPAC conference, leaving before his scheduled appearance. Netanyahu added he would arrive directly to IDF headquarters upon landing in Israel to discuss the situation with top army officials.
