Chinese President Xi Jinping, also acting as the chairman of the Central Military Committee, met with senior military officials on Saturday, according to Chinese media."The world is going through changes that haven't been seen in 100 years, and China has to seize every opportunity," Xi explained."The Chinese army always has to be ready for war," Xi warned. "The army needs to be able to respond immediately to emergencies, undergo more training and create new units that deal with current threats."Xi's words relate to the latest affairs with Taiwan, when US President Donald Trump renewed the signature on the US's commitment to maintain Taiwan's security."Nobody could change the fact that Taiwan was part of China, and that people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait should seek 'reunification,'" Xi said last week.Last July El Al Israel Airlines had to remove Taiwan from its search engines after the Chinese government pressured all the international airlines to do so.
