Several of Welles’s works will be the subject of a tribute at the Jerusalem Cinematheque, starting on February 5 and running throughout the month.
This year’s Aki-no Festival features movies by some of the most acclaimed Japanese directors and will be held at the Jerusalem Cinematheque and the Tel Aviv Cinematheque in January.
The Cinematheque will be showing some of her best-loved films throughout the month.
This program is already running in Tel Aviv and starts on December 31 in Jerusalem.
The series kicked off last month and will run through June, taking in a total of 15 multidisciplinary offerings, and will continue to offer some respite from the ongoing existential trials in Israel.
