Ocasio-Cortez's video was a response to an earlier post on Twitter of a leaked video of her dancing as a college student, in an attempt to embarrass the contentious, newly-sworn-in politician. In the earlier video, shot while Ocasio-Cortez was a student at Boston University, she is seen spinning and dancing on a rooftop barefoot with friends. The caption reads, "High School video of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez -- Congratulations New York!"I hear the GOP thinks women dancing are scandalous.Wait till they find out Congresswomen dance too! Have a great weekend everyone :) pic.twitter.com/9y6ALOw4F6

The clip parodies the famous dance scene from the eighties cult classic The Breakfast Club. Ocasio-Cortez retweeted the post on Friday with the caption, "You hate me coz you ain't me, fellas." The post was later deleted....High School video of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez -- Congratulations New York! pic.twitter.com/VSKdUImhZj
