"Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has no place on the House Foreign Affairs Committee," US Vice President Mike Pence said in an interview with Fox & Friends on Friday. In response to a question asking for his take on US Rep. Ilhan Omar, Pence responded "Ilhan Omar has made statements, antisemitic comments, statements against our most cherished ally Israel that ought to be rejected by every American."Pence pointed out as well that recently Omar has tried blaming the US for Venezuela's economic situation and conflict.Omar stated on PBS that the US has "sort of set the stage for where we are arriving today," according to Fox news. Pence attacked her later, saying that "the congresswoman doesn't know what she's talking about." Omar responded on Twitter, saying that "Women of color have heard this before. They have to make us feel small."
Women of color have heard this before. Instead of "we disagree," it's "she doesn't know what she's talking about." They have to make us feel small. This from an Administration that thinks climate change is a Chinese hoax. https://t.co/8ZaHfY4hfH
"The people of Minnesota will decide whether or not she remains in Congress," Pence stated in the interview with Fox & Friends, "but Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has no place on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the Democratic leadership ought to remove her."
