Arab construction worker stabs boss in Modi'in; Police suspect terror motive
The attacker wounded two people, one of whom is in serious condition.

An Arab laborer, 39, working at a construction site in Modi’in attacked two other workers at construction sites in the city’s Tziporim neighborhood with a hammer on Tuesday. One victim was severely wounded, the other moderately.Israel Police said that following an initial investigation they suspect the attack was terrorism-motivated. They are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.Police received a report around two o’clock in the afternoon that a worker at a construction site attacked the site manager and then went to a separate nearby construction site and attacked another person there.Workers at the site managed to restrain the suspect until police arrived.The victims were transported to Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, for treatment; one was in the neurological ward, and the other in the trauma unit.Dr. Yehoram Klein, head of the trauma unit at Sheba, told Ynet the victim who was seriously wounded had responded to treatment and his condition was upgraded to moderate.The assailant, who has an Israeli residency permit, is from the village of Beit Sira, west of Ramallah, in the vicinity of Modi’in.
