Adele Biton, the four-yea-rold girl from the Yakir settlement who was critically wounded after Palestinians stoned her family’s car in March 2013, died on Tuesday at Schneider Children’s Hospital in Petah Tikva as a result of pneumonia.Adele was wounded when rocks hurled at the car near Ariel in Samaria caused it to swerve and smash into a truck. Seven Israelis were hurt as a result, including the then three-year-old girl. Biton’s two sisters and mother were moderately wounded in the attack.Adele’s mother, Adva, said before her daughter's death that she had no doubt that the severity of the pneumonia was a direct result of the wounds she suffered in the 2013 terrorist attack.“There is no doubt that it stems from the neurological damage which she suffered, which makes dealing with all medical issues more difficult. Every little thing puts her body into major stress,” she added.Biton was hospitalized on Monday at Schneider when her conditioned worsened. In April 2013, five Palestinians were charged with throwing rocks at the highway that caused the crash that wounded Biton.
