Hamas has captured one of Israel's number one collaborators in the Gaza Strip, striking a blow to the Shin Bet's (Israel Security Agency) ability to gather intelligence in the coastal territory, al-Resalah, a Hamas-affiliated website quoted security sources as saying on Tuesday. The site quoted the source as saying that the man had been working with Israeli intelligence for more than 15 years and was caught at one of the border crossings into Israel.According the sources, the collaborator was part of Israeli efforts over the years to find the locations of Hamas leaders as well as the locations of rockets to aid Israeli air strikes in Gaza.During Operation Protective Edge, he helped the IDF pinpoint houses in Gaza City where Israel's enemies were located, the report added. The man is described by the source as an arch-collaborator who helped recruit additional poeple to work for Israel "by extorting them or offering them help."He served as a go between, according to the report, delivering Israeli payment to other collaborators.During Operation Protective Edge, Hamas executed 18 Palestinians accused of collaborating with Israel.
