Israeli security forces clashed with Palestinians and pro-Palestinian activists in the West Bank on Friday.

The Palestinians were protesting Israel's settlement policies in the territories.Peace talks between Israel and the Palestinian Authority have been suspended for months after a breakdown in negotiations. Mutual recriminations and acrimony between the two sides has dampened hopes of a resumption of the peace process anytime soon.
