Two Palestinian terrorists were shot dead by security forces on Friday in the course of attacks on soldiers.
In the first incident, a Palestinian stabbed an IDF soldier in the village of Abud, in the Binyamin region of the West Bank, wounding him in the neck.
The attacker, identified as Abed Rahman Barghouthi, 27, was shot and killed by soldiers on the scene.
The wounded soldier was evacuated to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer and was listed in good condition.
Later, two IDF soldiers were lightly wounded in a vehicle ramming attack near Ofra in the West Bank on Friday afternoon.
Soldiers on the scene shot and killed the Palestinian driver who carried out the attack.
The incidents came less than 24 hours after an IDF soldier and an Israeli civilian were wounded in a shooting attack at the Hizma checkpoint outside the Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat Ze’ev, carried out by an east Jerusalem resident who was a member of the Palestinian Authority’s intelligence agency.
The IDF Spokesman’s Unit reported that the gunman exited his car on the approach to the checkpoint and opened fire on the soldiers.
IDF troops returned fire, striking and killing the terrorist.
Security forces are checking whether the gunman acted alone.
