Four rockets fired from Syria land in northern Israel
Fires break out in the area as a result of the projectile fire; no injuries reported.

Four rockets were fired from Syria into northern Israel on Thursday, the IDF confirmed. Two of the projectiles landed in the Upper Galilee and two landed in the Golan Heights.The landing of the rockets came after sirens were sounded in communities throughout the North.Fires broke out in the area as a result of the projectile fire. Northern District firefighters were on the scene in an attempt to put out the blazes.There were no initial reports of injuries or damage to structures.IDF forces continued to search the area for the remnants of the rockets and local residents were told to return to their normal routines.Earlier on Thursday, the IDF deployed Iron Dome rocket defense batteries to the South, near the cities of Beersheba and Ashdod, for fear of rocket fire from the Gaza Strip.The raising of the IDF's level of alert in the South came amid fears that tensions could escalate if hunger-striking Palestinian prisoner Muhammad Allan should take a turn for the worse and die. Allan is a member of the Gaza-based Islamic Jihad, which last week vowed to break the truce with Israel should Allan perish.Projectiles fired from Syria have landed in Israel on a number of occasions throughout the country's four-year civil war, sometimes intentionally and sometimes as accidental spillover from Syrian infighting.Thursday's strikes landed much deeper within Israeli territory than the previous instances of spillover, however the IDF was yet to make a determination of whether the rocket fire was intentional.
