All proceeds from the Aloni gala at the Cameri will go toward funding the new Nissim Aloni Prize that the Cameri and Habimah theaters, together with the Hanoch Levin Institute of Israeli Playwriting, will award a yet-to-be-named young Israeli playwright.
The event at noon on May 28 commemorates the 11th anniversary of Nissim Aloni's death on June 13, 1998, and to celebrate the publication of Burning Tiger, Sarit Fuchs's new biography of the playwright, director, author and translator. The program includes excerpts from Aloni's plays, poems, sketches and stories. The event will be hosted by Gila Almagor.
