The Ashdod Museum of Art - Monart Centre has been officially recognized by the State of Israel as a museum, due to its "level of display and high quality of preservation." The museum opened six years ago and struggled to exist - though its efforts have apparently paid off.
To celebrate its inclusion on the country's official list, the museum will be open to the public free of charge from September 7 through October 10.
