Israelis consume some 50,000,000 "krembos" - concoctions of whipped marshmallow on top of a cookie base covered with a thin shell of chocolate - per year, Army Radio reported Monday.
The "krembo" (roughly, "cream-filled" in Hebrew) was invented in Denmark some 200 years ago.
In Israel, krembos are seasonal treats and are manufactured only four months a year, between October and February.
