The new running shoe by the German sportswear giant combines advanced technology developed through analysis and research of data from athletes and experts worldwide. The development team, including biomechanics experts from MIT Sports Lab and Calgari University, guarantees that the 4D FWD model produces 3 times more forward movements than regular running shoes and reduces foot load by approximately 15%.
The meticulous development process of the model involved collecting, analyzing, and researching data from athletes and experts worldwide for 18 years, in collaboration with the 3D printing company, "Carbon," leading to the creation of the unique "woven" sole shape. The resulting sole, after five million different variations, is more precise, tailored to athletes, with a spring-like shape that enhances movement, allowing athletes and runners to perform their movements with each step.
Woven Sole for Seamless Movement
The unique printing shape of the "woven" shoe - chosen from among 5 million different "woven" shapes - is made of 39% natural materials. The woven sole shape, in the form of a propeller, allows maximum forward movement and prevents ankle injuries, designed to convert the runner's energy into uninterrupted forward motion.
In various laboratory and outdoor tests, the 4D FWD model was found to produce 3 times more forward movements than regular running shoes, aided by the unique spring-like sole, allowing freer movement and pushing forward. As a result, the foot load on the shoe is reduced by approximately 15%.
Promoting Forward Running
In fact, when pressure is applied to the sole during running (in a vertical motion, following the heel and ball of the foot descending together, and rising together), the sole actually pushes the foot forward and performs a horizontal motion, with the heel and ball of the foot descending together, followed by the heel rising before the ball of the foot. This is unlike other shoes. This motion causes a more comfortable run, without pressure on the foot, aimed at promoting forward running.
In addition to the 4D FWD shoes, the 4Dfwd PULSE model has also been launched, which is a lightweight version of the running shoes and is characterized by the unique focus of the sole on the heel area. As part of the official launch, the models were released in a number of unique colors.
