Stav Jan, a bridal gown designer, aims to transform brides into princesses with classic, regal gowns, offering a unique blend of personal service and innovative fashion techniques. At her studio in Ramla, she describes her designs as "classic and princess-like," merging traditional elegance with modern trends, including the use of artificial intelligence.
"Brides who come to me know they will find grand, princess-like gowns," says Stav. "I can take a plain fabric and turn it into something glamorous and stunning; that’s my uniqueness. You won’t find many stones in my designs; everything is classic, heavily inspired by Paris and London."
Despite being only 27 years old, Jan has already built a dedicated following of brides who flock to her Ramla studio. They enjoy not only her personal touch but also her almost round-the-clock service. "I know all my brides, and I attend nearly all the meetings," she says. "There isn’t a single bride I don’t know, and even though I have many clients, I remember each one. They become my friends. We spend half a year together, and they consult me on everything – styling, shoes, jewelry. This personal touch is what sets my studio apart. Some brides dream about me at night and call – I’m always available. These women have dreamed their whole lives of getting married, and I treat it as the evening of their lives."
Jan’s gowns are known for their designs that combine classic elegance with refined, romantic twists. Her collection, photographed in Paris, showcases a variety of voluminous, fabric-rich dresses featuring structured corsets, narrow waists, and playful fabrics and textures. These gowns evoke the image of a modern princess ready for a ball but equally at home on a Hollywood red carpet. There is a surprising variety of gowns with larger-than-life skirts that feature three-dimensional fabric appliqués for a unique, fashionable look, as well as many smooth skirts with lace and transparency effects. For brides who love a dramatic, larger-than-life look that is primarily elegant and timeless, these dresses are perfect. Each gown’s design reflects a deep understanding of the female form, offering many options for supportive and shaping corsets, combining boning and silhouettes that embrace and flatter every bride.
Jan also offers a selection of 'second' dresses, where the sky's the limit. If the first dress is a classic princess design, the second dress is sexy drama, with options for short and fitted designs that play with fabric and structure, featuring deep necklines and revealing slits.
Jan notes that the bridal gown world has completely transformed in recent years. While brides once searched through magazines and stuck to a handful of designers, today’s young designers are infusing fashion, interest, and especially a personal touch, allowing each bride to find the dress that best suits her body shape and personality. The fusion of fashion, social media, and trends has also entered the wedding world, leading some brides to seek distinctive dresses, whether elegant or effortless.
Her most important tip for the upcoming wedding is to choose a designer you can trust, as trusting the process ensures peace of mind even when surprises arise, making it the best way to enjoy the big day.
