“I’ve developed a real obsession with lace over the past year,” says Heli Eisen-Stein, the bridal gown designer behind the Eisen-Stein brand. Her distinctive guiding line, what she refers to as an "obsession," translates into exceptionally delicate and lightweight bridal gowns. These gowns feature plays of transparency and lace that produce a sexy yet effortless look, revealing but also modest, delicately straddling the line between trendy and classic.

Eisen-Stein’s dresses stand out in the bridal world – the lace here is always light and delicate, and even when opaque, it somehow looks airy and flowing. With a significant emphasis on the female body, most of the dresses incorporate boned corsets. While we are accustomed to seeing rigid corsets, Eisen-Stein’s look is always delicate, mainly due to the interplay of transparency within the corset itself (usually combined with lace). The overall appearance of the collection evokes magical fairies fluttering through the city, leaving no one indifferent.

The delicate corsets blend with skirts of varying styles – some combine an abundance of fabric in a voluminous look, yet the fabric is so soft and delicate that it looks like a cloud enveloping the body. You can also find more fitted dresses with strategically placed lace that perfectly balances sexy and modest, giving a glimpse of the body without actually revealing it. Another style seen in the collection features more opaque dresses, whether combined with lace or plain, but even here, the look is especially soft and relaxed, often with a deep slit for a surprising and sexy twist.

“I am very influenced by the world of lingerie,” she explains about the overall look of the collection. “I love lingerie and enjoy when dresses resemble lingerie.” Indeed, many of the dresses nod to the sexy lingerie world, but thanks to the white color, the resulting look is refined and relaxed, with a lot of feminine softness and romance. There are no added stones, elements, or sparkling additions here, but rather an emphasis on the female body, aiming to flatter it, celebrate it, and primarily let the imagination run free. “My client is looking for a less banal style,” Eisen-Stein testifies. “She is delicate but sensual and wants to express her femininity. She is very confident with her body and also seeks to be unique.”

The designer, whose dresses can be found at her studio in Jaffa, has been dressing brides for 12 years. She shares that she is guided by two main principles – the first is designing for every body type, and the second is the comfort and lightness of the dresses. “I emphasize that the cuts flatter every body type,” she says, “and these are very comfortable dresses, everything is very light.”

Her tip for brides looking for the perfect dress: “I tell my clients that a bride needs to feel like herself, not be influenced by trends but wear something she feels comfortable in and brings out her best.”
