ASICS has committed to creating the most comfortable running shoes using the latest technology. Their new model, the GEL-KAYANO™ 31, offers optimal stability for runners at every stage of their run, supported by the 4D GUIDANCE SYSTEM™.
The 4D GUIDANCE SYSTEM™ includes four dimensions:
- Width Dimension: This refers to the shoe's base width, providing a broader landing area for a more stable foot placement.
- Length Dimension: This encompasses ground contact from heel to toe-off, with grooves along the side and midsole bottom to ensure a balanced transition and effective toe-off.
- Depth Dimension: This refers to the midsole's depth. The foam construction "wraps" the foot, securely positioning it within the shoe to prevent lateral movement.
- Time Dimension: This focuses on the medial area, crafted from lower-density foam for enhanced energy return, making the run more efficient, comfortable, and reducing the risk of injury.
Aligned with ASICS' design philosophy of continuous improvement for body and mind wellness, the GEL-KAYANO™ 31 features an updated asymmetrical medial upper for supportive fit and enhanced comfort. The redesigned mesh upper also provides better ventilation, keeping feet cool over longer distances and offering improved flexibility to ensure maximum comfort with every step.

The shoe weighs just 266 grams in the women’s model and 305 grams in the men’s. The innovative design is sleek and sophisticated.
