ASICS and Dassault Systèmes have inaugurated a new personalization studio in Paris, designed to explore the possibility of providing customized insoles “on the spot,” tailored to individual foot structure. The “ASICS Personalization Studio” is an ultra-compact, modular facility that integrates Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform with ASICS' proprietary sports technology to produce personalized shoe parts based on customers' exact measurements.

ASICS combines its unique expertise with Dassault Systèmes' modeling and simulation technology to shape insoles according to precise foot structure data generated on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Advanced 3D printing technology is then used to create insoles with a dense lattice structure made of a highly flexible material. The insoles are designed with layered construction to enhance breathability and softness. The level of cushioning can be adjusted for different parts of the foot, improving recovery, reducing pressure, and enhancing performance.

ASICS aims to evaluate the project's success and customer satisfaction, potentially expanding the concept commercially. In 2025, the ASICS Personalization Studio will move to Japan for further testing, and ASICS may consider extending this technology to other footwear products beyond insoles.

"We’re thrilled to collaborate with Dassault Systèmes in establishing the ASICS Personalization Studio. This partnership leverages the cutting-edge technology and expertise of two industry leaders to offer optimal value to customers, helping them lead healthier, happier lives with products that better meet their specific needs," said Mitsuyuki Tominaga, President and COO, Representative Director, ASICS.

"We share a commitment to innovation and enhancing quality of life with ASICS," added Pascal Daloz, CEO of Dassault Systèmes. "Our collaboration reflects this commitment with a holistic approach to manufacturing that prioritizes customer experience. Additionally, ASICS’ partnership showcases how the virtual world can drive 21st-century economic growth. Dassault Systèmes’ virtual twins, rooted in scientific foundations, enable industries to improve product performance and user experience—and to promote more sustainable business models."
