To top it all off, Biscotti brings its annual joyful August tradition: a special sundae menu. You know, that solid dessert that mixes ice cream with loads of good things, all in a deep glass, served with equally deep spoons, and lets you make a delightful mess as you enjoy it.
This sundae, an iconic dessert from the 80s that had been somewhat forgotten and neglected, is now getting a much-needed revival by Rossella Yona, and it's benefiting greatly from her attention.
Under the brand "Biscotti & Cream," they’ve created a delightful chaos of crispy cookie crumbles, freedom-flavored crumble, sauces drizzling from every angle, excellent vanilla ice cream, and other essential calorific delights of the season. The result? A celebration in a glass.
Biscotti's sundae collection offers four exciting options, all priced at NIS 32.
Pistachio Sundae: This sundae features pistachio crumble, pistachio sauce, soft vanilla ice cream, and pistachio cookies. It offers a sweet-bitter, greenish-white mix that’s surprisingly mature for its genre.
Alfajores Sundae: A sweeter option, featuring alfajores crumble, toffee sauce, soft vanilla ice cream, and alfajores cookies. It’s a jar full of thick, wonderful caramel flavors.
Raspberry Sandwich Cookie Sundae: This hybrid creation includes red velvet crumbs, raspberry sauce, soft vanilla ice cream, and, as you guessed, sandwich cookies with raspberry filling. It's a combination of many elements that make this sundae truly the essence of the experience—some of this, some of that, and a lot of everything else, all enjoyed with a deep spoon celebrating the mix.
Kinder Sandwich Cookie Sundae: The most indulgent of the bunch, despite stiff competition. This sundae includes Ferrero Rocher crumble, chocolate sauce, soft vanilla ice cream, and Kinder sandwich cookies. It's a chocolatey, sometimes crunchy treat that melts immediately after, making it a favorite among young tasters.
This dessert experience is, simply put, wild yet manageable. All you need to do is pick a sundae (or don’t – that’s an option too), wait for it to arrive, give it a few minutes to soften into a lovely melting mass – and dive in.
