The prolonged anxiety and uncertainty gripping the public have led even Israelis outside immediate conflict zones to maximize their home security.

Trellidor, the Israeli metal giant, has released data showing a dramatic increase in demand for home security measures in the first half of 2024, during wartime, compared to the first half of 2023.

“The data shows a sharp and consistent rise in demand for various security solutions, primarily bars,” says Yuval Zimmerman, Marketing VP of Trellidor Group. “The anxiety and desire to protect family members stem not only from the security situation and the war but also from the rising crime rates, which have increased significantly in recent months across many parts of the country.”

"We are seeing high demand in conflict areas in the south, such as Ofakim or Sderot, which is expected due to the situation. However, the more surprising data comes from central areas, where, despite the lack of sirens for weeks, people feel they need additional protection at home, with demand for bars up by tens of percent in Bat Yam, Bnei Brak, and more," Zimmerman adds.

"Another significant increase can be seen near Emek Hefer and close to Judea and Samaria, with a very high rise in demand for home security, such as a 62% increase in Rosh HaAyin."

Trellidor Group Data:

Ofakim: 47% increase
