Rome witnessed a spectacular stylistic transformation last night, when Lily Collins arrived at the premiere of the second part of the fourth season of "Emily in Paris". Collins, who surprised fans with a sleek new bob haircut, chose a breathtaking gold dress from the FW24 RTW collection of legendary Italian fashion house Schiaparelli. The bold new look not only marked a stylistic change for the star, but also sparked a wave of speculation about possible developments in the plot of the beloved series.
Choosing a Schiaparelli dress adds another layer of meaning to Collins' look. The fashion house, founded in 1927 by Elsa Schiaparelli, is known for its bold and surreal designs that combine art and fashion in a unique way. Today, under the leadership of designer Daniel Rosebery, the house continues to push the boundaries of fashion with spectacular creations that combine tradition and innovation.
The stunning gold dress, with thick chain straps, accentuated Collins' slim figure. The look was completed with thick gold bracelets on one hand and black open-toe heels, which showed off a perfect pedicure. Collins strutted confidently under the spotlight, also revealing a sexy open back that added a touch of daring to the whole look.
But Collins wasn't the only star to shine on the red carpet. Ashley Park, who plays Mindy Chen, arrived in a 1920s-inspired look in a shimmering black dress with fringes and matching gloves. She completed the look with black strappy heels and delicate jewelry, with her long hair styled in soft waves.
A particularly moving moment was when Collins and Park held hands and went on stage together, showing their strong friendship off screen as well. But the most talked about moment of the evening was when Ashley and her real life and show partner, Paul Furman, kissed on the red carpet. Foreman looked tailored in a white shirt with a white corset over it, a look that attracted a lot of attention.
Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, who plays Sylvie, turned heads during the evening in a strapless black velvet dress with a purple satin train and a leg-high slit. Meanwhile, former on-screen couple Lucas Bravo (Gabriel) and Camille Razat (Camille) got close on the red carpet, sparking speculation about the future of their characters on the show. Camille stunned when she replaced her iconic blonde hair with a sleek and attractive brunette hairstyle, and paired it with an equally daring ensemble - a black leather corset dress.
The other stars of the series were also present at the event, including William Abadie, Bruno Gouery, Kevin Dias, Arnaud Binard, Raoul Bova and Samuel Arnold, all dressed in the best of European fashion.
The new season of "Emily in Paris" promises even more drama, this time in a completely new location. The trailer for the second part of the fourth season shows Emily in Rome, with a new romantic interest. But that doesn't mean the drama with her on-and-off lover, Gabriel, is over.
Among the intriguing moments in the trailer: Emily in Gabriel's arms during a romantic vacation in the mountains, before his friend Camille appears in the picture. "You will always choose her!" Emily pleads with Gabriel as Camille watches. "She's carrying my baby!" He answers. "I know! But I can't be the one to keep you away from your family," Emily insists.
Interestingly, Gabriel is then seen hanging out with a new woman - Genevieve, Emily's new American counterpart. As Emily and Mindy pass by Gabriel's restaurant, they notice him enjoying a late night conversation with Genevieve inside the restaurant.
Meanwhile, Emily is sent to Rome to seduce a potential new business partner, a handsome Italian named Marcello. The trip offers Emily an escape from her busy life in the City of Lights. "I really needed it," she says. "What did you need?" Marcello asks. "A break from work, from Paris, from everything," she answers wistfully.
With so many exciting twists on the horizon, and with the intriguing new look of Lily Collins, it looks like the new season of "Emily in Paris" is going to be more fascinating than ever. Will the move to Rome bring new novels? Will Emily find her place in the Italian fashion world? And what does her new haircut mean? We will have to wait until September 12 (Thursday), when the second part of the fourth season will be uploaded to Netflix, to find out the answers to all these questions.
