You will have to believe us when we say that this is not an easy job, not easy at all.

To try out all the new products that come out to the Israeli market (and sometimes outside of it), to taste in front of everyone, deliveries and more deliveries, paper bags that accumulate in the office (and at home), a never-ending feeling of satiety.

Seriously, it's harder than it looks, and no one is paying you to go to the gym, or compensating you for the rapidly developing sense of FOMO in your mind.

And this time - everything you need for a better year. Yes, we are very eclectic.

Lilianplatz

Roi Cohen's lovely house of pleasures is the culmination of his personal transition process - from Germany back to Israel, and from working as a lawyer to becoming a true foodie.

Lilianplatz is an imaginary square but also a sweet and completely realistic kingdom, the main part of which is the talented handiwork of Cohen, who worked and studied in the past in bakeries and pastry shops in Berlin and Munich. These studies, and this knowledge, accumulated into a local business that advocates the classics, nods to rural Bavarian cuisine, and bursts just in time into the cauldron that is a new year, and old deliberation in front of the shelves of gifts and home treats.

The focus of interest here is great jams, rich in fruit and surprises - from spiced plum to apricot, from rare povidel to strawberry, from orange-coconut to rhubarb-raspberry. All of these are joined by pastries and desserts (Austrian linzer or crunchy but indulgent nut streusel) and complementary products (celebratory napkins from Germany, for example), thus assembling the perfect case.

The Dessert Served box (NIS 349) includes a multi-purpose wooden box, two cakes to choose from, a jar of family jam, two jars of personal jam, a pair of packages of napkins and two bags of roasted nuts or almonds to decorate over the dessert - a combination that requires only water for coffee, and maybe Also ice cream or sour cream on the side.

A family candied box (NIS 179) includes two 400 gram jars and two 250 gram jars, a pack of napkins and a greeting card, while a tasting box (NIS 149) includes four individual candied jars, along with napkins and a festive blessing.

The Israeli food-tech company is preparing for the holidays, and especially for the holiday meals, with a new and meaty launch.

This is a plank based on Redefine Meat's "new meat", an outstanding cut of beef that becomes real news for vegans and the curious alike. It has successfully undergone a baptism of fire, literally, in restaurants in Israel and Europe, and now arrives at the marketing chains requiring only a hot pan and following the instructions - burning from all sides, and that's basically it.

The result pleasantly surprises carnivores and skeptics, with a pulsating cry. It's not beef, no, but the taste is strong and present, the chewing is maintained, the juiciness is there and also the protein (25 grams per unit).
