This week marks Sukkot, also known as the Harvest Festival, during which it is customary to sit in a sukkah and host guests. Whether you plan to spend all the holiday days and nights in the sukkah, host family and friends for festive meals, or just enjoy the evenings, it's wise to make final preparations for a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. A few practical items can enhance your sukkah and ensure a more pleasant hosting experience.

During Sukkot, with the arrival of autumn, daytime temperatures are pleasant, but as evening falls, the air gets cooler. Since sukkahs usually lack significant insulation, it's essential to have blankets on hand for guests. Vardinon, Israel’s unique textile boutique, offers a wide selection of soft, cozy blankets that are perfect for wrapping up in. If your sukkah is on a porch, you can easily enhance it with various rugs that add a decorative touch and provide a warmer, more comfortable surface than bare floors. Vardinon’s stores and website feature a wide array of rugs in different shapes, textures, and sizes.

For a personal touch in hosting, it's a good idea to prepare several pairs of slippers for guests who prefer to remove their shoes. Nothing creates a cozy, homey atmosphere like soft, furry slippers. Vardinon’s new fall-winter collection includes microfiber slippers, especially soft and comfortable, priced at just NIS 49.9.

To create a beautiful and convenient dining experience in the sukkah, high-quality melamine tableware is a must. These lightweight, nearly unbreakable dishes are an eco-friendly alternative to disposable ones.

At Naaman, you’ll find the stunning Osaka melamine collection, featuring natural cream and dark gray tones with a textured clay look. These pieces mimic the elegance of fine porcelain but are designed for practical use.

Another useful item for sukkah meals is a thermal pot that keeps food warm for extended periods. Naaman’s Fall-Winter 2024 collection offers practical and stylish thermal pots in a variety of sizes, starting at NIS 139.9.

For an elegant and polished holiday table, even in the sukkah, you can use a delicate glass vase or scatter decorative candles to create a pleasant, festive atmosphere.
