Contrary to the increasing trend in the profits of the marketing chains, the Rami Levy chain published relatively weak reports. The businessman and owner of the network, Rami Levy, talked about this with Anat Davidov on the show Where is the money on radio 103fm.

At the beginning of his words, Rami Levy said: "My gross profit is low. For me, the balance sheet is not disappointing, it was actually excellent. We made seventy million shekels in the quarter. It makes me happy that we are the only chain that did not take advantage of the war, and in the run-up to the war, reduced its gross profit relative to all prices." .

"I say to the economic reporters and consumer reporters: Anyone who knows how to read balance sheets knows that when the gross profit goes down - you lowered the prices, or maybe you got a slightly better price for the supplier. Precisely during a war, and the situation is not the best, we came towards my consumers. We have to strengthen them." specified

Levy explained: "The consumer has enormous power. For a kilo of grapes, he has to pay a maximum of 20 shekels per kilo. It is enough for us to sell a lot for a small profit. It may be that the grapes sell expensive because they sell a little. Our strategy is to earn less in percentage, but sell a lot."

Levy turns to consumers and offers - this is how you will influence the cost of living yourself: "There is no competition in the public sector, so they arbitrarily raise prices. In our industry there is a wide variety on the shelf. If there is an expensive product, don't buy it. Cheaper equivalent products are just as good, sometimes Even better. If the consumer buys smartly, he will also help lower the cost of living."

At the end of his words, Levy emphasized: "We will not take advantage of the period, and towards the holidays we will do more in-depth promotions to help the public. We do not drop off in one place and pick up in another. I promise that my basket will be the cheapest, and that is what we will do."
