A compact and portable electric massager for muscle massage, pain relief, rehabilitation, and muscle re-education is set to launch in Israel, providing much-needed relief for those in need.

HiDow's device, the only one clinically approved by the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration), is exclusively marketed in Israel by A.A. Orthopedics. It operates using electrical pulses through two advanced technologies—TENS and EMS—offering relief for pain, discomfort, muscle tension, joint pain, and inflammation through electrical stimulation. The device is easy to operate independently; users simply place the electrodes on the skin in the painful area, which are connected to the device on the other end. By combining these two technologies, which work together on both the muscular and nervous systems in the treated area, the device becomes particularly effective.

The EMS technology works by sending electrical stimulation to the targeted muscle, causing it to contract and relax automatically, without any effort from the user. This is especially beneficial in situations where the user may struggle to perform the action on their own. The stimulation helps re-educate, strengthen, and develop the muscle.

The second technology, TENS, focuses on immediate pain relief without invasive treatments or medication. It sends electrical stimulation to the nervous system in the area, blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain and contributing to the release of endorphins.

The device comes in two models to choose from, with various treatment programs, including reflexology, pressing massage, acupuncture, tapping, and more. It is designed to treat a wide range of issues and types of pain, from muscle, back, neck, shoulder, arm, leg, ear, and head pain, to stress relief, chronic pain, menstrual pain, and overall discomfort. By sending random pulses to the user, the device prevents the brain from adapting to the signals, ensuring the treatment remains effective over time, according to the manufacturer.

The device package (not suitable for pregnant women, pacemaker users, or those with epilepsy, open wounds, or skin problems) includes one set of large round electrode pads, one set of large rectangular electrode pads, and a set of ear clips. Additional accessories for specific areas, such as a belt or knee electrode wrap, an elbow wrap, and a waist belt, can also be purchased separately.
