It’s reasonable to assume that even in Australia, unemployed individuals need to get around and visit the employment office, but a Lamborghini isn’t a necessity for that. In fact, it could raise suspicions.
Earlier this month, New South Wales Police arrested a 39-year-old man who had been receiving unemployment benefits for years. The police seized a blue Lamborghini Huracán and a blue Harley Davidson V-Rod from his parking lot, as well as several Rolex watches.
According to a police statement, the man is suspected of fraudulently obtaining unemployment benefits. However, it seems that all of this luxury wasn’t funded solely by unemployment benefits and that his main income came from his connections with organized crime.
