4 indicted in Jerusalem for kidnapping over NIS 3,000 debt

The Jerusalem District Attorney’s Office on Thursday indicted three residents of the Bedouin village of Tarabin and one resident of Rishon Lezion on kidnapping, ransom and blackmail charges stemming from the abduction of a Jerusalem man who owed one of them NIS 3,000.
According to the indictment, upon abducting the victim earlier this month after he failed to repay his debt, he was initially held captive in Tarabin, and subsequently taken to a remote, mountainous area in southern Israel.
The alleged captors demanded his family pay a NIS 15,000 ransom for his release. He was let go shortly after the money was paid. The four men were arrested two weeks ago, the indictment states.
