Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas Sunday told former minister Yossi Beilin and a Geneva Initiative delegation that he believes Israel and the Palestinians can achieve an end to the conflict, according to Army Radio. Abbas spoke to Beilin and his delegation during a Sunday visit to Ramallah.Abbas said that the “status quo cannot continue.” He also noted that he intended to present a new initiative in the near future to jump-start peace talks.He plans to deliver a letter to Israel which will address all peace process issues in dispute.
