The Lake Kinneret (the Sea of Galilee) rose by two centimeters on Monday, rising to 210.14 meters below sea level, 1.3 meters below the upper red line which marks a full lake.
The lake's water level is lower than it was at the same time last year. Last rainy season, the Kinneret reached just 30 cm. below the upper red line at its highest point.
The year before, the Kinneret rose by 3.01 meters in the 2019-2020 rainy season, reaching its highest level since 2004, as high as 208.89 meters below sea level, just 9 cm. below the upper red line.
