Around 600 immigrants from Ukraine will land in Israel on Sunday, the Aliyah and Integration Ministry announced. This is a record number of immigrants who have landed in Israel in one day since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Already, 122 immigrants from Poland landed at Ben-Gurion Airport. At noon, about 170 Ukrainian immigrants from Ukraine will land from Moldova.
In addition, two flights filled with eligible beneficiaries of the Law of Return will land, one with 160 people and one with 162.
Many immigrants continued to arrive on rescue flights over the weekend. They were greeted by employees of the Aliyah and Integration Ministry.
"Employees of the Ministry of Aliyah and Integration had the privilege of receiving our brothers and sisters who came from Ukraine and who fled the war," said Aliyah and Integration Minister Pnina Tamano-Shata.
The Ben Gurion Airport Division of the Aliyah and Integration Ministry said it received some 3,600 immigrants, including 2,007 immigrants from Ukraine, since the beginning of the war.
