The Health Ministry recommended that people with lactose intolerance refrain from buying honey in the near future on Thursday night.
The message came after the company Yad Mordechai released a statement telling lactose intolerant people not to buy their honey after milk proteins were discovered in one of its honey sources.
The Health Ministry is investigating whether the proteins are present in the honey sources of other companies too.
