Two police officers were lightly injured in clashes between Arabs and Israeli forces in the Silwan neighborhood of east Jerusalem, located south of the Western Wall, on Tuesday evening, according to Israel Police.
Police arrived at the scene after a brawl broke out in the neighborhood with participants throwing stones and objects at each other. The officers who arrived at the scene were attacked by those brawling, with stones and objects thrown at them. Two officers were lightly wounded by the stones and objects.
One of the officers who felt his life was in danger fired in the air and the forces began working to restore order and disperse the riot.
Later in the evening, a young man and a young woman were lightly injured by stone throwing in the neighborhood, according to United Hatzalah.
