Defense Minister Benny Gantz spoke with Egyptian intelligence director Maj.-Gen. Abbas Kamel on Tuesday and wished him a blessed Eid al-Adha.
Gantz reiterated that Israel's defense establishment will examine reports of a mass grave in central Israel that contains the bodies of Egyptian commandos who were killed during the 1967 Six-Day War.
In a phone call yesterday with Prime Minister Yair Lapid, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi made a similar request.
