Palestinian National Security Forces (NSF) liaison officer Saeed al-Asous died on Monday night after armed assailants shot at him in the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp in Lebanon, pro-Hezbollah news outlet Al Mayadeen reported.
Asous was rushed in critical condition to a medical center inside the camp, where he died of his wounds.
The identity of the assailants is unknown, Lebanese media said.
Reuters reported the assassinated Palestinian officer's name to be Said Alaadin, citing Lebanese sources.
