Three indicted for Jordan Valley underground cannabis farm

Three men were indicted for building a cannabis facility under a Kibbutz farm in the Jordan Valley, the Jerusalem District Attorney's Office announced on Tuesday.

Issachar Ben Atia, 66, was the renter of the Kibbutz Naran farmland. He and Naor Horvitz, 55, and Shumon Abutbul dug under Kibbutz Naran farmland, built an eight room concrete facility with NIS 1 million in gear, and grew NIS 20 million worth in cannabis.

The facility had a dining room, bathrooms, accommodations to allow for extended residence in the complex. The laboratory had 69 fans, 24 evaporators, and 281 LED lamps.
